तस्येदं वर्चस्तेजः प्राणमायुर्नि वेष्टयामीदमेनमधराञ्चं पादयामि

IAST Transliteration

tásyédáṃ varcás téjaḥ prāṇám ā́yur ní veṣṭayāmīdám enam adharā́ñcaṃ pādayāmi

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

This lustre, this fiery might, this breath and length of days that are his—these do I wrap about me; and this man here I make downward-going, I press him low.

Translation

ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਵਰਚਸ, ਇਹ ਤੇਜ, ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਯੁ—ਇਹ ਸਭ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਪੇਟ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਅਧਰਾਂਚ (ਹੇਠਾਂ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਦਬਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
