Sukta 1
मनो अस्या अन आसीद् द्यौरासीदुत च्छदिः । शुक्रावनड्वाहावास्तां यदयात् सूर्या पतिम्
mánō asyā́ ána āsīd dyáur āsīd utá chadíḥ | śukráv anaḍvā́hāv āstām yád ayā́t sūryā́ pátim
Her mind was the wagon; heaven was the canopy-cover. Two shining draft-bulls were her team, when Sūryā went unto her husband.
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਰਥ (ਅਨ) ਸੀ; ਦ੍ਯੌ—ਆਕਾਸ਼—ਛਤ੍ਰ-ਆਵਰਨ ਸੀ। ਦੋ ਚਮਕਦੇ ਵਨਡ੍ਵਾਹ—ਜੋੜੇ ਖਿੱਚਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਲਦ—ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜੋੜੀ ਸਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਸੂਰਿਆ ਪਤੀ ਕੋਲ ਗਈ।
