अस्थि कृत्वा समिधं तदष्टापो असादयन्। रेतः कृत्वाज्यं देवाः पुरुषमाविशन्

IAST Transliteration

ásthi kṛtvā́ samídhaṃ tád aṣṭā́po asādayan | rétaḥ kṛtvā́jyam devā́ḥ púruṣam ā́viśan ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Having made bone to be fuel, that the Eight Waters set firm in place. Having made seed to be ghee, the Gods entered into the Person.

Translation

ਹੱਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਿਧ (ਇੰਧਨ) ਬਣਾ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸ਼ਟ-ਆਪਃ (ਅੱਠ ਜਲਾਂ) ਨੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਰੇਤਸ (ਵੀਰਜ) ਨੂੰ ਆਜ੍ਯ (ਘੀ) ਬਣਾ ਕੇ, ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੁਰੁਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।
