imé mayū́khā úpa tastabhur dívaṃ sā́māni cakrus tásarāṇi vā́tave

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

These beams have propped the heaven up; they fashioned Sāman-harmonies—shuttles for the Wind.

Translation

ਇਹ ਕਿਰਣਾਂ (ਮਯੂਖ) ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਟੇਕ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਰੱਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ; ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਮਨ-ਸੁਰ ਬਣਾਏ—ਹਵਾ ਲਈ ਤਸਰ (ਸ਼ਟਲ) ਵਾਂਗ।
