Sukta 4
ओषधीनामहं वृण उर्वरीरिव साधुया। नयाम्यर्वतीरिवाहे निरैतु ते विषम्
óṣadhīnām aháṃ vṛṇe urvárīr iva sādhúyā | nayāmy árvātīr ivā́he nír etu te víṣam ||
Of herbs I make my choice, as one selects good fields with skill; I lead them on, as mares are driven: forth from the serpent let thy poison go.
ਮੈਂ ਔਸ਼ਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਨਿਪੁੰਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਚੰਗੇ ਖੇਤ ਚੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਘੋੜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੰਕਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਸਰਪ, ਤੇਰਾ ਵਿਸ਼ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲੇ—ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਿਸ਼ ਬਾਹਰ ਛੱਡ।
