Sukta 22
हृद्रोग-कामिला-नाशनम्। अनु सूर्यमुदयतां हृद्दयोतो हरिमा च ते । गो रोहितस्य वर्णेन तेन त्वा परि दध्मसि
ánu sū́ryam úd ayatāṃ hṛd-dayóto harímā ca te | gó rohítasya várṇena téna tvā pári dadhmasi
After the Sun let it arise: from thy heart let the yellowing go forth. With the hue of the red cow—with that same (hue) we encompass and bestow it upon thee.
ਸੂਰਜ ਦੇ ਉਗਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਉੱਠੇ; ਤੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਹਰਿਮਾਣ (ਕਾਮਿਲਾ/ਪੀਲਾਪਣ) ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾਵੇ। ਲਾਲ ਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਰਣ ਨਾਲ—ਉਸੇ ਵਰਣ ਨਾਲ—ਅਸੀਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੌਹੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਪਰਿ ਦਧ੍ਮਸਿ (ਘੇਰ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਚੰਗਿਆਈ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦੇ ਹਾਂ)।
