Sage Parāśara (narrating to Maitreya)
This verse uses a predictive, omen-like statement to frame royal conflict as part of the unfolding of dharma and political fate within the dynasty narratives of Ansha 4.
Parāśara recounts lineage-linked episodes as a continuous historical-theological narrative, often inserting foretold outcomes (like a destined battle) to connect personal deeds with larger order.
Even when Vishnu is not named in a given verse, the Vishnu Purana presents kingship, war, and destiny as operating under Vishnu’s supreme governance of time, dharma, and cosmic order.
