ततो ऽब्रवीत्सुरपतिः किमर्थं तप्यते तपः जगत्क्षोभकरं विप्र तच्छीघ्रं कथ्यतां मम

tato 'bravītsurapatiḥ kimarthaṃ tapyate tapaḥ jagatkṣobhakaraṃ vipra tacchīghraṃ kathyatāṃ mama

ତେବେ ଦେବପତି କହିଲେ—“ହେ ବିପ୍ର, ଜଗତକୁ କ୍ଷୋଭ କରାଉଥିବା ଏହି ତପ କେଉଁ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ କରାଯାଉଛି? ଶୀଘ୍ର ମୋତେ କହ।”
