'O renowned lady! I have embraced you and united with you mentally (enjoyed you without physical contact). You will bring forth a son endowed with great wisdom and courage.
The verse frames an attempt to preserve moral order by distinguishing mental intent from physical violation, and by promising a beneficent outcome (a virtuous son).
Maruta explains that the union is ‘mental’ and foretells the birth of a great son (Hanuman).
The future child’s virtues—wisdom and valor—are emphasized as divinely assured qualities.
