Narrator (with Dhātā/Brahmā about to address Skanda)
Primary Rasa: raudra
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Sandhi Resolution Notes: प्रायाद्योधयितुम् = प्रायात् + योधयितुम्. धाताऽब्रवीत् = धाता + अब्रवीत् (अवग्रह). मोहप्रपीडितम् = मोह + प्रपीडितम् (तत्पुरुष).
The verse frames Skanda’s impulse to fight Hari (Viṣṇu) as arising from moha—misapprehension about Hari’s true status—setting up Brahmā’s corrective counsel.
Śakti here denotes Skanda’s characteristic weapon (a spear/lance), emphasizing martial readiness and the intensity of the impending confrontation.
It implies that divine or wise instruction intervenes when ego, anger, or confusion drives conflict—urging discernment (viveka) over impulsive hostility, even among exalted beings.
