Adhyāya 55: Pārtha–Rādheya Saṃvāda and Tactical Exchange
Chapter 55
लोहितेन समायुक्तै: पांसुभि: पवनोद्धृतै: । बभूवुर्लोहितास्तत्र भृूशमादित्यरश्मय:,वायुद्वारा उड़ायी हुई रक्तसे सनी धूलके संसर्गसे आकाशमें सूर्यकी किरणें भी अधिक लाल हो गयीं
lohitenā samāyuktaiḥ pāṃsubhiḥ pavanoddhṛtaiḥ | babhūvur lohitās tatra bhṛśam ādityaraśmayaḥ ||
ବୈଶମ୍ପାୟନ କହିଲେ—ପବନରେ ଉଡ଼ିଥିବା ରକ୍ତମିଶ୍ରିତ ଧୂଳିର ସଂସର୍ଗରୁ ସେଠାରେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟକିରଣମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଲାଲ ହୋଇଦିଶିଲେ। ରଣଭୂମି ଧୂଳି-ଧୂମରେ ଆବୃତ ଥିଲା; ରକ୍ତରଞ୍ଜିତ କଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଯୋଗୁଁ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟାଂଶ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ରକ୍ତବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପ୍ରତୀତ ହେଲା।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse uses nature as a moral mirror: when violence and bloodshed pervade human action, even the sky’s appearance seems corrupted, suggesting that adharma leaves visible and psychological traces in the world.
A wind lifts dust that is mixed with blood, and the airborne red dust makes the sun’s rays look intensely red, heightening the scene’s grim, ominous atmosphere.
