नासूयको न चापीर्षुर्नाभिमानी न मत्सरी । भविष्यति जनस्तत्र स्वयं धर्ममनुव्रत:,“वहाँ कोई न तो दूसरेके दोष देखनेवाला होगा और न ईर्ष्यालु। न किसीमें अभिमान होगा और न मार्त्सर्य (द्वेष)। वहाँके सब लोग स्वयं ही धर्ममें तत्पर होंगे
nāsūyako na cāpīrṣur nābhimānī na matsarī | bhaviṣyati janas tatra svayaṃ dharmam anuvrataḥ ||
ସେଠାରେ କେହି ଅନ୍ୟର ଦୋଷ ଖୋଜିବେ ନାହିଁ, କେହି ଈର୍ଷ୍ୟାଳୁ ହେବେ ନାହିଁ। କାହାରେ ଅଭିମାନ ନଥିବ, କାହାରେ ଦ୍ୱେଷ ମଧ୍ୟ ନଥିବ। ସେଠାର ଲୋକେ ସ୍ୱୟଂ ଧର୍ମକୁ ଅନୁସରି ଧର୍ମନିଷ୍ଠ ରହିବେ।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
A dharmic society is marked by inner restraint: absence of fault-finding (asūyā), jealousy (īrṣyā), pride (abhimāna), and malice (matsara). True righteousness is not forced externally; it is sustained when people willingly align themselves with dharma (svayaṃ dharmam anuvrataḥ).
Vaiśampāyana describes the moral character of the people in a particular place or realm being spoken of in the Virāṭa Parva context, emphasizing that the inhabitants naturally live without envy, arrogance, or spite and are self-motivated followers of dharma.
