मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights prudent conduct: when a vital secret must be safeguarded, one may adopt a strategic disguise or protective measure to prevent harm and ensure a safe outcome, without violating one’s larger duty.
Mārkaṇḍeya narrates a plan in which the speaker resolves to take on the form of Garuḍī (a Garuḍa-like bird) so that a guarded secret remains concealed and a safe, easy exit from the forest becomes possible.
