Kuntī’s Lament and Govinda’s Consolation
स वै पथि समागम्य भीष्मेणाक्लिष्टकर्मणा । द्रोणेन धार्तराष्ट्रैश्न तैर्वृतो नगरं ययौ
sa vai pathi samāgamya bhīṣmeṇākliṣṭa-karmaṇā | droṇena dhārtarāṣṭraiś ca tair vṛto nagaraṃ yayau ||
ପଥରେ ହିଁ ଅକ୍ଲିଷ୍ଟକର୍ମା ଭୀଷ୍ମ ଓ ଦ୍ରୋଣଙ୍କ ସହ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରି, ଧୃତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପରିବୃତ ହୋଇ ଭଗବାନ୍ ଶ୍ରୀକୃଷ୍ଣ ନଗରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even at the threshold of conflict, dharma operates through counsel and restraint: Kṛṣṇa’s entry among revered elders (Bhīṣma, Droṇa) and the Kaurava princes highlights the moral weight of authority and the responsibility to seek a just resolution before war.
While traveling, Kṛṣṇa meets Bhīṣma and Droṇa on the road; accompanied and surrounded by Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s sons, he then proceeds into the city (Hastināpura), marking his arrival for high-stakes negotiations.
