यदन्यद् दिष्टभावस्य पुरुषस्य स्वयंकृतम् | तस्मादनुपरोधश्व विद्यते तत्र लक्षणम्
yad anyad diṣṭabhāvasya puruṣasya svayaṃkṛtam | tasmād anuprodhaś ca vidyate tatra lakṣaṇam ||
ପ୍ରାରବ୍ଧ ବ୍ୟତୀତ ପୁରୁଷ ଯାହା ସ୍ୱୟଂ କରେ, ସେଥିରୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଫଳସିଦ୍ଧି ହୁଏ; ଏ ବିଷୟରେ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ ଉଦାହରଣ ମିଳେ।
भीमसेन उवाच
Even if destiny (diṣṭa) shapes a person’s situation, self-performed action (svayaṃkṛta karma) also functions as a real cause for achieving results; therefore personal effort is meaningful and demonstrable by examples.
