यदा द्रष्टा पततः स्यन्दने भ्यो महागजेभ्यो5श्वगतान् सुयोधनान् । शरैहतान् पातितांश्वैव रड्े तदा युद्ध धार्तराष्ट्रोडन्वतप्स्यत्
sañjaya uvāca | yadā draṣṭā patataḥ syandane bhyo mahāgajebhyo ’śvagatān suyodhanān | śaraiḥ hatān pātitāṃś caiva raṇe tadā yuddhe dhārtarāṣṭro ’nutapsyat ||
ସଞ୍ଜୟ କହିଲେ—ଦୁର୍ଯ୍ୟୋଧନ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଦେଖିବ ଯେ ତାଙ୍କର ରଥସ୍ଥ, ମହାଗଜସ୍ଥ ଓ ଅଶ୍ୱାରୂଢ଼ ଯୋଦ୍ଧାମାନେ ମୋ ବାଣରେ ହତ ହୋଇ ରଣଭୂମିରେ ପଡ଼ୁଛନ୍ତି, ସେତେବେଳେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ବାଛିଥିବାରୁ ଧୃତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପୁତ୍ର ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ତାପରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ ହେବ।
