Sanjaya’s Counsel Toward Conciliation
ते वै धन्या यै: कृतं ज्ञातिकार्य ते वै पुत्रा: सुह्ददो बान्धवाश्व । उपक्रुष्टं जीवितं संत्यजेयु- रत: कुरूणां नियतो वैभव: स्यात्
te vai dhanyā yaiḥ kṛtaṃ jñātikāryaṃ te vai putrāḥ suhṛdo bāndhavāś ca | upakruṣṭaṃ jīvitaṃ saṃtyajeyur ataḥ kurūṇāṃ niyato vaibhavaḥ syāt ||
ଯେମାନେ ନିଜ ଜ୍ଞାତିଜନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କରିବାକୁ ଥିବା କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ ସାଧନ କରିଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ହିଁ ସତ୍ୟରେ ଧନ୍ୟ; ସେମାନେ ହିଁ ପୁତ୍ର, ସୁହୃଦ ଓ ବାନ୍ଧବ ବୋଲି କୁହାଯିବାକୁ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ। କୌରବମାନେ ନିନ୍ଦିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଥିବା ଜୀବନକୁ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରୁନ୍ତୁ; ତେବେ କୁରୁବଂଶର ବୈଭବ ଓ ଅଭ୍ୟୁଦୟ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ହେବ।
