शकटापणवेशाश्र यान॑ युग्यं च सर्वश: । तत्र नागसहस्राणि हयानामयुतानि च । फल्गु सर्व कलत्रं च यत्किज्चित्‌ कृशदुर्बलम्‌

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: śakaṭāpaṇa-veśāśraya-yānāni yugyaṃ ca sarvaśaḥ | tatra nāga-sahasrāṇi hayānām ayutāni ca | phalgu sarva-kalatraṃ ca yat kiñcit kṛśa-durbalam ||

Translation

ବୈଶମ୍ପାୟନ କହିଲେ— ସେଠାରେ ସବୁ ପ୍ରକାର ଛକଡ଼ା ଓ ଗାଡ଼ି, ବଜାରର ଦୋକାନ, ବେଶଭୂଷା ଓ ଉପକରଣର ସାମଗ୍ରୀ, ସବାରି ଏବଂ ଜୁଆରେ ଯୋଡ଼ା ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ଯାନ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭାବେ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରାଗଲା। ସେଠାରେ ସହସ୍ର ସହସ୍ର ହାତୀ ଓ ଅୟୁତ ଅୟୁତ ଘୋଡ଼ା ଥିଲେ; ତଥା ଛୋଟମୋଟ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ, ନାରୀ-ପରିବାର, ଏବଂ କୃଶ, ଦୁର୍ବଳ କିମ୍ବା କଷ୍ଟ ସହିବାକୁ ଅଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଲୋକ—ସାଥିରେ ନେବାକୁ ଯାହା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ, ସେସବୁ ଏକତ୍ର କରାଗଲା।
