धृतराष्ट्रस्य वंशोपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Dynastic Counsel on Legitimate Rule
नीचै: स्थित्वा तु विदुर उपास्ते सम विनीतवत् । प्रेष्पवत् पुरुषव्याप्रो वालव्यजनमुत्क्षिपन्
nīcaiḥ sthitvā tu vidura upāste sama-vinītavat | preṣpavat puruṣa-vyāghro vāla-vyajanam utkṣipan ||
ତେବେ ବିଦୁର ତଳେ ଦାଁଡ଼ି, ସୁଶିକ୍ଷିତ ସେବକ ପରି ସମଭାବ ଓ ବିନୟରେ ଧୃତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରଙ୍କ ସେବା କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। ପୁରୁଷସିଂହ ସମ ତିନି ଚାମର ଉଠାଇ ହଲାଇଲେ—ଅହଂକାର ନୁହେଁ, ସଂଯମିତ କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ ହିଁ ତାଙ୍କର ଭୂଷଣ ଥିଲା।
वायुदेव उवाच
True dharma can appear as humble service: Vidura, though eminent in wisdom and status, restrains ego and performs his duty with calm discipline, showing that ethical greatness is measured by self-control and right conduct, not outward rank.
Vidura stands below like an attendant and serves Dhṛtarāṣṭra by lifting and waving the ceremonial yak-tail fan, remaining respectfully present in the king’s service despite the charged political atmosphere of the Udyoga Parva.
