कर्ण: सदा पाण्डवानां तन्मे दहति सम्प्रति । आशंसे त्वद्य कर्णस्य मनो<हं पाण्डवान् प्रति
karṇaḥ sadā pāṇḍavānāṃ tan me dahati samprati | āśaṃse tv adya karṇasya mano'haṃ pāṇḍavān prati ||
ବୈଶମ୍ପାୟନ କହିଲେ— “କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସଦା ପାଣ୍ଡବମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବୈରଭାବ ଧାରଣ କରିଆସିଛି; ସେଇ କଥା ଏବେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୋ ହୃଦୟକୁ ଦହାଏ। ତଥାପି ଆଜି ମୋର ଆଶା— କର୍ଣ୍ଣର ମନ ପାଣ୍ଡବମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅନୁକୂଳ ହେବ।”
