नुदेद् वृद्धयसमृद्धी स प्रतिकूले नृपात्मज । राजकुमार! जिसे पहलेसे ही सभी पदार्थोकी अनित्यताका ज्ञान होता है
nuded vṛddhaya-samṛddhī sa pratikūle nṛpātmaja
ରାଜକୁମାର! ଯେ ଜଣେ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ସମସ୍ତ ପଦାର୍ଥର ଅନିତ୍ୟତା ଜାଣିଥାଏ, ସେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ପୁରୁଷ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳ ଶତ୍ରୁର ଉନ୍ନତି ଓ ନିଜ ଅବନତିରୁ ଜନ୍ମିଥିବା ଦୁଃଖକୁ ବିଚାରଦ୍ୱାରା ଶାନ୍ତ କରିପାରେ।
पुत्र उवाच
Recognize the impermanence of worldly conditions; through reflective discernment one can dispel the grief caused by an enemy’s rise and one’s own decline, maintaining inner steadiness rather than being ruled by external fortune.
A son addresses a prince, offering counsel on how to respond mentally and ethically to adverse reversals—especially the painful sight of a rival’s prosperity—by grounding oneself in the insight that all worldly gains and losses are transient.
