ययातिदौहित्रपुण्यसमुच्चयः | Yayāti and the Grandsons’ Consolidation of Merit
'ये आपको तार देंगे। दौहित्रोंके द्वारा मातामह (नाना)-का यह उद्धार पुरातन वेदशास्त्रमें स्पष्ट देखा गया है। राजन! मैं आपकी पुत्री माधवी हूँ और इस तपोवनमें मृगोंके समान जीवनचर्या बनाकर विचरती हूँ ।।
mayāpy upacito dharmas tato 'rthaṃ pratigṛhṇatām | yasmād rājan narāḥ sarve apatyaphalabhāginaḥ ||
ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଧର୍ମ ସଞ୍ଚୟ କରିଛି; ତେଣୁ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ପାଇଁ ତାହା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତୁ। କାରଣ, ହେ ରାଜନ, ସମସ୍ତ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ସନ୍ତାନଫଳର ଭାଗୀ।
नारद उवाच
Merit (dharma) is not merely private; it can be directed toward a purpose connected with family continuity, because the benefits of progeny are understood as shared—linking personal righteousness with intergenerational responsibility.
The speaker addresses a king and offers accumulated merit to be accepted for a specific end, grounding the request in the principle that all people partake in the fruits associated with offspring.
