वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic decorum in public life: elders and those worthy of honor are seated first, and even the most eminent figures observe propriety by taking their places in an ordered, respectful manner.
In the royal assembly, Virāṭa and Drupada are seated in the foremost places because they are senior and respected among the kings; afterward Balarāma and Kṛṣṇa (Janārdana) take their seats together with their father Vasudeva.
