अथाददान: कल्याणमनसूयुर्जितिन्द्रिय: । वर्धते मतिमान्‌ राजा स्रोतोभिरिव सागर:

Transliteration

athādadānaḥ kalyāṇam anasūyur jitendriyaḥ | vardhate matimān rājā srotobhir iva sāgaraḥ ||

Translation

କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେ ରାଜା କଲ୍ୟାଣକାରୀ ଗୁଣଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ନିନ୍ଦା-ଈର୍ଷ୍ୟାରହିତ, ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟଜୟୀ ଓ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ—ସେ ନଦୀସ୍ରୋତରେ ସମୁଦ୍ର ଯେପରି ବଢ଼େ, ସେପରି ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଏ।
