यस्य न स्युर्न वै स स्याद्‌ यस्य स्यु: कृत्स्नमेव तत्‌ । द्वाभ्यां निवारितो नित्यं वृणोम्पेकतरं न च,ये वीर जिसके पक्षमें न हों, उसका जीवित रहना असम्भव है और जिसके पक्षमें ये चले जायँ, वह सारा-का-सारा समुदाय ही विजयी हो जाय। परंतु आहुक और अक्रूरने आपसमें वैमनस्य रखकर मुझे इस तरह अवरुद्ध कर दिया है कि मैं इनमेंसे किसी एकका पक्ष नहीं ले सकता

ଯାହାର ପକ୍ଷରେ ଏହି ବୀରମାନେ ନାହାନ୍ତି, ସେ ଟିକି ପାରେ ନାହିଁ; ଯାହାର ପକ୍ଷରେ ଏମାନେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ସମଗ୍ର ସେନାସହିତ ବିଜୟୀ ହୁଏ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଆହୁକ ଓ ଅକ୍ରୂର ପରସ୍ପର ବୈର ରଖି ମୋତେ ସଦା ଏପରି ରୋକି ରଖିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ ମୁଁ ଏମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କାହାର ପକ୍ଷ ମଧ୍ୟ ନେଇ ପାରୁନି।
