यदीमानि हवींषीह विमथिष्यन्त्यसाधव: । भवता विप्रहीणानि प्राप्तं त्वामेव किल्बिषम्‌

Transliteration

yadīmāni havīṁṣīha vimathiṣyanty asādhavaḥ | bhavatā viprahīṇāni prāptaṁ tvām eva kilbiṣam ||

Translation

ଅର୍ଜୁନ କହିଲେ—ଆପଣ ଏହି ଯଜ୍ଞକର୍ମ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଦେଲାପରେ ଯଦି ଏଠାରେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକେ ଏହି ସଞ୍ଚିତ ହବିଷ୍ୟ-ସାମଗ୍ରୀକୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରିଦିଅନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ତାହାର ପାପ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ମାତ୍ର ପଡ଼ିବ; କାରଣ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ତ୍ୟାଗ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ହେବ, ଲୋକେ ଧର୍ମକର୍ମରେ ଉଦାସୀନ ହେବେ, ଏବଂ ଏହି ଧର୍ମର ପରମ୍ପରା ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବ—ତାହାର ଦୋଷ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଶିରେ ଆସିବ।
