पकक्‍्वेनामस्य निमयं न प्रशंसन्ति साधव: । निमयेत्‌ पक्‍वमामेन भोजनार्थाय भारत

Transliteration

pakvenāmasya nimayaṃ na praśaṃsanti sādhavaḥ | nimayet pakvamāmena bhojanārthāya bhārata ||

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ହେ ଭାରତ! ପକ୍କ (ପରିପକ୍ୱ) ବସ୍ତୁକୁ କଚ୍ଚା ବସ୍ତୁ ସହିତ ବଦଳାଇବାକୁ ସାଧୁଜନ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ଭୋଜନ ଓ ଜୀବନନିର୍ବାହ ପାଇଁ କଚ୍ଚା ଦେଇ ପକ୍କ ନେବା ଉଚିତ।
