Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)

व्याधयो न भवन्त्यत्र नाल्पायुर्दृश्यते नर: । विधवा न भवन्त्यत्र कृपणो न तु जायते
Transliteration
vyādhayo na bhavanty atra nālpāyur dṛśyate naraḥ | vidhavā na bhavanty atra kṛpaṇo na tu jāyate ||
Translation
ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ସେ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ରୋଗ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ, ନା କୌଣସି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଅଳ୍ପାୟୁ ଦେଖାଯାଏ। ସେଠାରେ କୌଣସି ନାରୀ ବିଧବା ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ, ଏବଂ କୃପଣ କିମ୍ବା ନୀଚଚିତ୍ତ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଜନ୍ମ ନେଉ ନାହିଁ।
