Yudhiṣṭhira’s Post-Accession Settlements and Approach to Vāsudeva (युधिष्ठिरस्य राज्यस्थापनं वासुदेवाभिगमनं च)
ततो महति पर्यड्के मणिकाञ्चनभूषिते | ददर्श कृष्णमासीनं नीलमेघसमगद्युतिम्,उन्होंने देखा, भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण मणियों तथा सुवर्णसे भूषित एक बड़े पलंगपर बैठे हैं, उनकी श्याम सुन्दर छवि नील मेघके समान सुशोभित हो रही है। उनका श्रीविग्रह दिव्य तेजसे उदभासित हो रहा है। एक-एक अड़ दिव्य आभूषणोंसे विभूषित है। श्याम शरीरपर रेशमी पीताम्बर धारण किये भगवान् सुवर्णजटित नीलमके समान जान पड़ते हैं
tato mahati paryaṅke maṇikāñcanabhūṣite | dadarśa kṛṣṇam āsīnaṃ nīlameghasamagadyutim ||
ତେବେ ସେ ଦେଖିଲେ—ମଣି ଓ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣରେ ଭୂଷିତ ଏକ ବିଶାଳ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଭଗବାନ୍ ଶ୍ରୀକୃଷ୍ଣ ଆସୀନ; ତାଙ୍କ ଶ୍ୟାମ କାନ୍ତି ନୀଳ ମେଘ ସମ ଦୀପ୍ତିମାନ।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse foregrounds darśana—recognition of the divine and auspicious—suggesting that true authority and guidance are grounded in dharma and protective compassion. Kṛṣṇa’s radiance functions as a narrative marker of reassurance and moral orientation in the aftermath of conflict.
The narrator reports a sight: Kṛṣṇa is seen seated on a grand couch ornamented with gems and gold, shining with cloud-like dark splendor. It is a descriptive moment that sets a reverential tone before counsel, instruction, or significant dialogue.
