Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: etad dhayaśiro rājann ākhyānaṃ tava kīrtitam | purāṇaṃ vedasamitaṃ yan māṃ tvaṃ paripṛcchasi ||
ରାଜନ୍! ତୁମେ ଯାହା ବିଷୟରେ ମୋତେ ପଚାରିଥିଲ, ସେହି ବେଦସମ୍ମତ ପୁରାତନ ହୟଶିରୋ (ହୟଗ୍ରୀବ) ଆଖ୍ୟାନ ମୁଁ ତୁମକୁ କହିଦେଲି।
