पीठयोश्वोपविष्टौ तौ कृतातिथ्याद्विकौ नृप । तेषु तत्रोपविष्टेषु स देशोडभिव्यराजत
pīṭhayoś copaviṣṭau tau kṛtātithyādvikau nṛpa | teṣu tatropaviṣṭeṣu sa deśo 'bhivyarājata ||
ହେ ରାଜନ୍! ଅତିଥି-ସତ୍କାରର ବିଧି ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରି ସେ ଦୁଇଜଣ ଆସନରେ ବସିଲେ। ସେମାନେ ସେଠାରେ ବସିବାମାତ୍ରେ ତାଙ୍କର ତେଜ ଓ ଅତିଥିଧର୍ମର ଶୁଭ ଆଚରଣରେ ସେ ସ୍ଥାନ ବିଶେଷ ଦୀପ୍ତିରେ ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ୱଳ ହେଲା।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights atithya-dharma (the duty of honoring guests): when hospitality is properly performed and worthy persons are respectfully seated, the very place becomes auspicious and radiant—suggesting that ethical conduct sanctifies space.
After the hosts complete the formalities of welcoming and honoring guests, the two individuals sit on seats. Their settled presence, together with the completed hospitality, makes the setting appear especially splendid.
