Exclusive devotion to Hari (Viṣṇu) is presented as a powerful means of purification: it can neutralize the burden of a curse and elevate one toward higher spiritual realms, illustrating the interplay of karma and divine grace within dharma.
Bhīṣma recounts that a person, having been under a curse, worshipped Hari alone; as a result, the curse was quickly shed and the person attained Brahmaloka, marking a transition from affliction to spiritual ascent.
