नारायणीयमाख्यानम् (Nārāyaṇīyam Ākhyānam) — Nārada’s Return and Hymnic Consolidation
इतिहासमिमं पुण्यं मोक्षधर्मोपसंहितम् । धारयेद् यः शमपर: स गच्छेत् परमां गतिम्
itihāsam imaṁ puṇyaṁ mokṣadharmopasaṁhitam | dhārayed yaḥ śamaparaḥ sa gacchet paramāṁ gatim ||
ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ମୋକ୍ଷଧର୍ମସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ଏହି ପରମ ପୁଣ୍ୟ ଇତିହାସକୁ ଯେ ଶମପରାୟଣ ପୁରୁଷ ଶୁଣି କିମ୍ବା ପଢ଼ି ହୃଦୟରେ ଦୃଢ଼ ଧାରଣ କରେ, ସେ ପରମ ଗତି—ମୋକ୍ଷ—ଲାଭ କରେ।
भीष्म उवाच
Liberation is supported by moksha-dharma and inner tranquility: one who studies or hears this purifying teaching and retains it with a peaceful, self-controlled mind attains the supreme goal (moksha).
In Bhishma’s instruction within the Shanti Parva, he concludes by praising the spiritual efficacy of the preceding moksha-oriented discourse, stating that sincere hearing/reading and heartfelt retention by a peace-centered person leads to the highest state.
