जग्राह तां तदा शक्ति न चैनां स व्यकम्पयत् । भगवानके इस कथनको सहन न कर सकनेके कारण प्रह्नादने स्वयं ही उस शक्तिको उखाड़ फेंकनेका दृढ़ निश्चय कर लिया और उस शक्तिको पकड़कर खींचा; परंतु वे उसे हिला भी न सके
jagrāha tāṁ tadā śaktiṁ na caināṁ sa vyakampayat |
ତେବେ ପ୍ରହ୍ଲାଦ ସେଇ ଶକ୍ତିକୁ ଧରିଲେ; କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହାକୁ ଅଳ୍ପମାତ୍ରେ ମଧ୍ୟ କମ୍ପାଇ ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଭଗବାନଙ୍କ ବଚନ ସହି ନ ପାରି, ନିଜ ବଳରେ ତାହାକୁ ଉଖାଡ଼ି ଫେଙ୍କିବାକୁ ଦୃଢ଼ ସଙ୍କଳ୍ପ କରି ଧରି ଟାଣିଲେ; ତଥାପି ତାହା ହଲିଲା ନାହିଁ।
