शुकस्य योगसिद्धिः (Śuka’s Yogic Attainment and Ascent)

एवमुक्त: स वैदेहं प्रत्युवाचापरोक्षवित्‌ । निवृत्तिर्न तयोरस्ति नानिवृत्ति: कथठ्चन

Transliteration

evam uktaḥ sa vaidehaṁ pratyuvāca aparokṣavit | nivṛttir na tayor asti nānivṛttiḥ kathaṁcana ||

Translation

ଏପରି କହିବା ପରେ ଅପରୋକ୍ଷଜ୍ଞାନସମ୍ପନ୍ନ ମହର୍ଷି ପଞ୍ଚଶିଖ ବିଦେହରାଜଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ—“ଜରା ଓ ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନିବୃତ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହା ମଧ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ ଯେ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ତାହା ସମ୍ଭବ ନୁହେଁ। ଧନ-ଐଶ୍ୱର୍ୟରେ ସେମାନେ ଟଳନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଜ୍ଞାନରେ ପୁନର୍ଜନ୍ମର ଚକ୍ର ନିବୃତ୍ତ ହୋଇଯାଏ—ତେବେ ଜରା ଓ ମୃତ୍ୟୁର କଥା କ’ଣ!”
