नारद–शुक संवादः
Impermanence, Svabhāva, and Śuka’s Resolve for Yoga
अथोक्तश्न महाराज राजा गन्धर्वसत्तम: । पृष्टवाननुपूर्वेण प्रश्नमर्थविदुत्तमम्
atho'ktaś ca mahārāja rājā gandharva-sattamaḥ | pṛṣṭavān anupūrveṇa praśnam artha-vid-uttamam ||
ଯାଜ୍ଞବଲ୍କ୍ୟ କହିଲେ— “ମହାରାଜ, ଏହା ଶୁଣି ଗନ୍ଧର୍ବମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ସେ ରାଜା, ଅର୍ଥବିଦ୍ ହୋଇ, କ୍ରମକ୍ରମେ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ କଲେ। ତେବେ ମୁଁ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲି— ‘ରାଜନ, ଆପଣ ଏକ ପରେ ଏକ ପରମୋତ୍ତମ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ଉଠାଇଛନ୍ତି; ଆପଣ ତାହାର ଅର୍ଥ ଜାଣନ୍ତି। ଅଳ୍ପକ୍ଷଣ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତୁ; ଏହି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ମୁଁ ବିଚାର କରିବି।’ ‘ବାଢ଼ମ୍’ ବୋଲି ଗନ୍ଧର୍ବରାଜ ମୌନ ହୋଇ ବସି ରହିଲେ।”
