The Account of Suvarṇaṣṭhīvin
व्यतिक्रान्तासु वर्षासु समये गमनस्य च । पर्वतो मामुवाचेदं काले वचनमर्थवत्,जब वर्षाके चार महीने बीत गये और हमलोगोंके वहाँसे चलनेका समय आया, तब पर्वतने मुझसे समयोचित एवं सार्थक वचन कहा--
vyatikrāntāsu varṣāsu samaye gamanasya ca | parvato mām uvācedaṃ kāle vacanam arthavat ||
ବର୍ଷାକାଳ ଅତିକ୍ରମ ହେଲାପରେ ଓ ଆମ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନର ସମୟ ଆସିଲାବେଳେ, ପର୍ବତ ମୋତେ ସମୟୋଚିତ ଓ ଅର୍ଥବତୀ କଥା କହିଲେ।
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical value of speaking at the right time and with real substance—counsel should be both context-sensitive (kāle) and meaningful (arthavat), not merely talk.
After the rainy season ends and departure becomes appropriate, Parvata (the Mountain, personified) begins to speak to Nārada, introducing a forthcoming instruction or significant message.
