budhyate ca parāṁ buddhiṁ viśuddhām amalāṁ yadā

Educational Q&A

When the intellect becomes perfectly purified and fixed on Brahman, direct realization arises; one becomes established in Brahman-consciousness and thereby transcends unmanifest Prakṛti and its cycle of creation and dissolution.

Vasiṣṭha is instructing a king (nṛpaśreṣṭha) in liberation-teaching: he describes the inner transformation of buddhi culminating in Brahman-realization and freedom from the cosmic processes governed by Prakṛti.
