Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the dharmic ideal that sacrifice is completed and ethically validated through generous dakṣiṇā—giving wealth (here, cattle and attendants) in a spirit that supports priests and society, turning ritual into moral action.

Vāyu describes how the sacrificer Aṅga, at the sacred site called Viṣṇupada on a mountain, distributed an exceptionally large dakṣiṇā consisting of many cattle along with their attendants, emphasizing the grandeur and righteousness of the rite.
