एवमादीनि चान्यानि परित्यक्तानि मेधया । ज्वलन्ति यशसा लोके यानि न व्याहरन्ति च

Transliteration

evam-ādīni cānyāni parityaktāni medhayā | jvalanti yaśasā loke yāni na vyāharanti ca ||

Translation

ନାରଦ କହିଲେ—ଏହିପରି ଆଉ ଅନେକ ଜିନିଷ ଅଛି, ଯାହାକୁ ମେଧା (ବିବେକ) ଛାଡ଼ି ଦେଇଛି; ସେମାନେ ନିଜକୁ ଘୋଷଣା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ତଥାପି ସେମାନେ ଲୋକରେ ନିଜ ଯଶରେ ହିଁ ଜ୍ୱଳନ୍ତ ରହନ୍ତି।
