आसीने देवल वृद्ध बुद्ध्वा बुद्धिमतां वरम् । नारद: परिपप्रच्छ भूतानां प्रभवाप्पययम्,एक समयकी बात है, बुद्धिमानोंमें श्रेष्ठ बूढ़े असितदेवलको आसनपर बैठा हुआ जान नारदजीने उनसे सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंकी उत्पत्ति और प्रलयके विषयमें प्रश्न किया
āsīne devale vṛddhe buddhvā buddhimatāṁ varam | nāradaḥ paripapraccha bhūtānāṁ prabhavāpyayam ||
ଏକଦା ନାରଦ ମୁନି ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ବୃଦ୍ଧ ଅସିତଦେବଳଙ୍କୁ ଆସନରେ ଉପବିଷ୍ଟ ଦେଖି, ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣୀଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ପତ୍ତି ଓ ପ୍ରଳୟ ବିଷୟରେ ବିନୟପୂର୍ବକ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ କଲେ।
