Jvarotpatti — The Origin and Distribution of Jvara

दर्शनं श्रवर्णं घ्राणं स्पर्शनं रसन॑ तथा । उपपच्त्या गुणान्‌ विद्धि पजच पठचसु पठचधा

darśanaṁ śravaṇaṁ ghrāṇaṁ sparśanaṁ rasanaṁ tathā | upapattayā guṇān viddhi pañca pañcasu pañcadhā ||

ଅସିତ କହିଲେ—ଦେଖିବା, ଶୁଣିବା, ଘ୍ରାଣ କରିବା, ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କରିବା ଓ ରସ ନେବା—ଏହିଗୁଡ଼ିକ କ୍ରମେ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଆଦି ପାଞ୍ଚ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ। ଯୁକ୍ତିରେ ବୁଝ, ଏହିଗୁଡ଼ିକ ହିଁ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟର ଗୁଣ (ବ୍ୟାପାର)। ପାଞ୍ଚ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟ ପାଞ୍ଚ ବିଷୟରେ ପାଞ୍ଚ ପ୍ରକାରେ—ଦର୍ଶନ ଆଦି କ୍ରିୟାରୂପେ—ବିଦ୍ୟମାନ।
