तृष्णाक्षय-उपदेशः

Instruction on the Cessation of Craving

स्यूमराश्मिरुवाच स्यूमरश्मिरहं ब्रह्म॒न्‌ जिज्ञासार्थमिहागत: । श्रेयस्काम: प्रत्यवोचमार्जवान्न विवक्षया

Sūmarāśmir uvāca—Sūmarāśmir ahaṁ brahman jijñāsārtham ihāgataḥ | Śreyaskāmaḥ pratyavocam ārjavān na vivakṣayā ||

ସ୍ୟୂମରାଶ୍ମି କହିଲେ—ହେ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ! ମୋର ନାମ ସ୍ୟୂମରାଶ୍ମି। ଜ୍ଞାନ ଜାଣିବା ଇଚ୍ଛାରେ ମୁଁ ଏଠାକୁ ଆସିଛି। ଶ୍ରେୟ ଚାହିଁ ମୁଁ ସରଳଭାବେ କହିଛି; ବାଦବିବାଦ ପାଇଁ ନୁହେଁ।
