Yoga-kṛtya (योककृत्य) — Vyāsa on Sense-Restraint, Obstacles, and Brahman-Realization
ऋषयस्तपसा वेदानध्यैषन्त दिवानिशम् । अनादिनिधना विद्या वागुत्सृष्टा स्वयम्भुवा
ṛṣayas tapasā vedān adhyaiṣanta divāniśam | anādinidhanā vidyā vāg utsṛṣṭā svayambhuvā |
ତପଶକ୍ତିରେ ସମର୍ଥ ହୋଇ ଋଷିମାନେ ଦିନ-ରାତି ବେଦ ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ କରୁଥିଲେ। ଆଦି-ଅନ୍ତ ରହିତ ସେହି ବୈଦିକ ବିଦ୍ୟା ସ୍ୱୟଂଭୂ ବ୍ରହ୍ମାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପବିତ୍ର ବାଣୀରୂପେ ପ୍ରଥମେ ଉଚ୍ଚାରିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା।
व्यास उवाच
Vedic knowledge is portrayed as eternal and accessed through disciplined tapas and continuous study; sacred speech is ultimately grounded in a cosmic source (Svayambhū/Brahmā), not merely human authorship.
Vyāsa describes how the ancient sages devoted themselves to day-and-night Vedic study through austerity, and he links the origin of Vedic speech to the Self-born Brahmā, framing the Vedas as timeless revelation.
