अकाल - अर्थात्‌ संध्या और संध्याशोंसहित त्रेतायुग छत्तीस सौ वर्षोका

Transliteration

vyāsa uvāca | brahma tejo-mayaṁ śukraṁ yasya sarvam idaṁ jagat | ekasya brahma-bhūtasya dṛśyaṁ sthāvara-jaṅgamam ||

Translation

ବ୍ୟାସ କହିଲେ—ହେ ଶୁକ! ବ୍ରହ୍ମ ତେଜୋମୟ; ସେଠାରୁ ଏହି ସମଗ୍ର ଜଗତ୍ ଗଠିତ। ସେଇ ଏକ ବ୍ରହ୍ମରୁ ଜଗତ୍ ଦୁଇ ରୂପେ ପ୍ରକଟ ହୁଏ—ସ୍ଥାବର ଓ ଜଙ୍ଗମ।
