कौमारमेव ते चित्त तथैवाद्य यथा पुरा । समवेक्षस्व मघवनू् बुद्धि विन्दस्व नैपष्ठेकीम्
kaumāram eva te cittaṃ tathaivādya yathā purā | samavekṣasva maghavan buddhiṃ vindasva naiṣṭhikīm ||
ତୁମ ଚିତ୍ତ ଏଯାବତ୍ ଶିଶୁସଦୃଶ—ପୂର୍ବେ ଯେପରି ଥିଲା, ଆଜି ମଧ୍ୟ ସେପରି। ହେ ମଘବନ, ଏହି ସତ୍ୟକୁ ସମ୍ୟକ୍ ଦେଖି ନୈଷ୍ଠିକ, ସ୍ଥିର ବୁଦ୍ଧି ଲାଭ କର।
श॒क्र उवाच
The core teaching is self-scrutiny leading to maturity: recognize childish mental habits and cultivate naiṣṭhikī buddhi—steady, settled discernment that supports ethical clarity and restraint.
Śakra (Indra) addresses someone using the epithet “Maghavan,” admonishing that the person’s mind remains immature and instructing them to examine themselves carefully and attain firm, established understanding.
