Wealth, Sacrifice, and Disciplined Giving

कृच्छाच्च द्रव्यसंहारं कुर्वन्ति धनकारणात्‌ । धनेन तृषितो<बुद्धया भ्रूणहत्यां न बुद्धयते

Transliteration

kṛcchāc ca dravyasaṃhāraṃ kurvanti dhanakāraṇāt | dhanena tṛṣito 'buddhyā bhrūṇahatyāṃ na buddhyate ||

Translation

ଧନର କାରଣରୁ ଲୋକେ ଭାରି କଷ୍ଟରେ ନାନା ପ୍ରକାର ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଧନତୃଷ୍ଣାରେ ତପ୍ତ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଅବିବେକବଶତଃ ଏହା ବୁଝେ ନାହିଁ ଯେ ସେ ଭ୍ରୂଣହତ୍ୟା-ସମ ପାପରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜଡ଼ି ପଡ଼ିପାରେ।
