न तृप्ति: प्रियलाभे<स्ति तृष्णा नाद्धि: प्रशाम्यति । सम्प्रज्वलति सा भूय: समिद्धिरिव पावक:
na tṛptiḥ priyalābhe 'sti tṛṣṇā nāddhiḥ praśāmyati | samprajvalati sā bhūyaḥ samiddhir iva pāvakaḥ ||
ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ପ୍ରିୟ ବସ୍ତୁ ଲାଭ ହେଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମଣିଷ ତୃପ୍ତ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ; ପ୍ରାପ୍ତି ତୃଷ୍ଣାକୁ ଶାନ୍ତ କରେ ନାହିଁ। ଇନ୍ଧନ ପାଇଲେ ଯେପରି ଅଗ୍ନି ଅଧିକ ଜ୍ୱଳେ, ସେପରି ତାହା ପୁନଃପୁନଃ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ ହୁଏ।
