प्रादात् तस्मै स विप्राय वस्त्र च सदृशं॑ नवम् । नारीं चापि वयोपेतां भर्त्रां विरहितां तथा
prādāt tasmai sa viprāya vastraṃ ca sadṛśaṃ navam | nārīṃ cāpi vayopetāṃ bhartṛ-vihitāṃ tathā ||
ସେ ତାହିଁ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣଙ୍କୁ ଯଥୋଚିତ ନୂଆ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଦେଲା; ଏବଂ ସେ ସମୟରେ ପତିବିହୀନା ଯୌବନବତୀ ଏକ ନାରୀକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେଲା।
भीष्म उवाच
Dharma can manifest through concrete acts of support—food, shelter, clothing, and protection of the vulnerable—sometimes even from unexpected people; ethical worth is measured by conduct, not merely by social label or occupation.
A brahmin approaches for alms; the giver provides him with a suitable new garment and also assigns a mature, husbandless woman as an attendant, illustrating extensive hospitality and provision for the guest’s maintenance.
