The colophon closes a didactic episode in Āpaddharma: even in crisis, dharma is upheld through compassion and protection of the vulnerable; such steadfast ethical conduct is portrayed as spiritually elevating (svarga-leading).
This is the chapter-ending colophon stating that the 148th chapter—about the dove’s ascent to heaven—has concluded within the Śānti Parva’s Āpaddharma section.
